I am a writer with a background in psychology.

I have self-published two novels: an alternate-history YA-and-upwards story of a boy who befriends a wolf, Peterkin and the First Dog; and Red House - sex, drugs, rock ‘n’ roll and Heidegger, set on the south coast in the freak summer of 1976.

I’m also working on a book - provisional title Strong Language - about what is sometimes called ‘poetic truth’: the way language can bring to life, say what it’s like, go beyond the facts of the case to catch what lies between them.

I’ve also written short stories - three published - and journal and conference papers.
